Updated: Earlier Thursday dawn, an Israeli drone fired a missile at a Palestinian car in Tubas, in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank, killing five young men and seriously wounding one.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its medics recovered the corpses of three slain young men from the targeted car.
The slain young men have been identified as Mohammad Zakariyya Zobeidi, 21, Mohammad Awad Abu Jom’a, 30, Qussai Majdi Abdul-Razeq, 26, Mohammad Nathmi Abu Gharra, 22, and Ahmad Fawwaz Fayez Abu Dawwas, 22.
It is worth mentioning that Mohammad is the son of the imprisoned leader of the Al-Aqsa Brigades, the armed wing of Fateh movement, Zakariyya Zobeidi, who was one of six detainees who escaped from the heavily fortified Gilboa prison and were captured a week later.
In May of 2022, Zakariyya’s brother, Daoud Mohammad Zobeidi, 40, was killed by Israeli soldiers during an invasion of Jenin refugee camp.
The PRCS stated that the medics also resuscitated another Palestinian who suffered life-threatening wounds and remains in critical condition.
In addition, sources from the PRCS reported that the soldiers shot a young man with several live rounds and assaulted him after they invaded the Al-Far’a refugee camp, south of Tubas.
The sources stated that the soldiers prevented ambulance crews from reaching him or providing necessary first aid; the young man’s extent of injuries remains unknown.
The young man was shot after a large military force, accompanied by a D9 armored bulldozer, invaded the refugee camp, closed the main street, and also invaded the surrounding neighborhoods, leading to protests.
Infantry soldiers also invaded several areas of the refugee camp, before storming and ransacking homes, assaulting their owners, detaining them, and conducting field interrogations with them.
On Tuesday afternoon, Israeli soldiers shot a Palestinian teenage girl and prevented medics from reaching her until she succumbed to her wounds in Kafr Dan town, west of Jenin, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its medics moved the slain child, Lujain Osama Abdul-Rauf Mosleh, 16, to a hospital in Jenin.
On Tuesday evening, two Palestinians were killed after the army surrounded a home and fired live rounds and Enegra shells at it, in the Thannaba Suburb in Tulkarem, in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said the General Authority of Civil Affairs informed them that the two slain Palestinians are Rami Hatem Mohammad Abbas, 37, and Nour Hasan Zayet, 24.
Earlier Tuesday, Israeli soldiers shot and killed a Palestinian teenage boy and injured his father in the Tulkarem refugee camp, in Tulkarem, in the occupied West Bank’s northwestern part.
Medical sources have confirmed that Israeli army sharpshooters shot the child, Mohammad Abdullah Kanaan, 16, with a live round in the head, and his father, who was walking next to him, in the abdomen.
In Qalqilia, in the northwestern West Bank, the soldiers shot a young man in the thigh after they invaded the city; the wounded Palestinian was moved to a hospital in the city.
Israel has now killed 39 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank since last Wednesday: 21 in Jenin, 6 in Tulkarem, 9 in Tubas, and 3 in Hebron, bringing the number of slain Palestinians in the West Bank since October 7, 2023, to 685.
